Special needs: Start

Library service for special needs students

Students with reading and writing difficulties have the opportunity to receive course literature in the talking book, e-text or braille formats. You can download talking books directly to your computer or smartphone from Legimus.

You will need a user account in order to download. The library will create one for you, and give you an introduction on usage.

If compulsory course literature is not available in Legimus the library can make a request for production. It takes two months to produce a talking book.

Via MinIT you can download the following software for free:

  • TorTalk (a text-to-speech software that reads aloud from every text format. For PC, Mac and tablets with full Windows)
  • Stava Rex (spelling aid for Swedish)
  • SpellRight (spelling aid for English)
