University level students with reading and writing disabilities, impaired sight or mobility or other print impairment, may borrow course literature in alternative formats. Loans are administered by the library and are free of charge.
Talking books can be downloaded from MTM’s digital archive to a CD. This is done by a librarian and the books can then be collected by the student or sent home.
You can also be registered for StudentDirect and download direct to your computer. Ask the library for registration.
Books at MTM, which are not digitalized, may be requested through the library.
If a student’s compulsory course literature is not available in an alternative format, the library may make a request for production at MTM.
A computer for special needs students is available in each library. It has programs for screen magnification, speech synthesizers and reading programs for talking books.
